Russells Technical Products had humble beginnings in 1972 as an industrial refrigeration sales and service company.  It was originally owned by a gentleman named Mr. Donald Bench.  Don used his previous technical experience from a company called Conrad Inc. to begin designing and manufacturing environmental test chambers and systems.  Since then Russells has been providing a comprehensive and varied product line including both pre-engineered and custom built test chambers on a global basis.  To this day, we are still family owned and a major force within the test chamber industry.

Russells’ management team has over 150 years experience in the design and manufacture of environmental test systems.  Our personnel are skilled and qualified in all phases of the design and  manufacturing process.   Our manufacturing philosophy is to operate self-sufficiently in terms of utilizing state-of-the-art facilities and equipment to enhance the value of our products.  Our business philosophy is to create superior test systems that meet or exceed our customers’ requirements, along with building customer relationships based off honesty, trust and integrity.

Facility

Russells’ headquarters are in a 40,000 sq./ft. high tech facility in Holland, MI. We have expansion capability for another 80,000 sq./ft. We have invested in the latest high-tech manufacturing equipment to keep our competitive edge in both quality and price.

Engineering

Russells’ unique engineering expertise has been the cornerstone behind the success of the company for almost 40 years. We have custom engineered some of the most complex environmental test systems and applications in the world. Our engineers are always on the cutting edge of technology in environmental test chamber applications and are always building upon a tremendous knowledge base in the test areas of: high and below zero tempertature, humidity, altitude, vibration, ESS, Agree, thermal shock, stability, explosion proof, and portable conditioning systems. From vehicles and aircraft to batteries and solar panels and more.

Quality

The Russells’ quality team includes members from all departments within the organization. Our manufacturing quality control is ongoing from the engineering process all the way to final inspection prior to shipment. Russells’ quality speaks for itself as we have many environmental test systems still operating in the field that are well over 20 years old.

Affiliations/Recognitions

Russells’ is a member of the American Society of Metals. We were recognized for three years among Michigan’s 100 fastest growing private companies. In 2004 Russells’ was named the Small Business Supplier of the year by the Harris Corporation. We hold patents for Method and Apparatus for Recovering Refrigerants, U.S. Patent No. 5,359,859. Many of our environmental chambers are CE and UL Certified.
